Hi there! My name is Tara, I’m 19 years old and I come from a sunny island called Aruba. I spent the first years of my life in the Netherlands but moved to Aruba at 8 years old. After my volunteering journey here I will be moving back to the Netherlands to study applied Biology.

Last year I graduated high school and I decided to take a gap year. The main reason why I chose to take a gap year is because I wasn’t completely sure of what I wanted to do in my life. My goal right now is to gain as much experience as possible to help me figure that out. I would also like to travel the world a bit before I start studying.

In my free time I enjoy photography, listening to music, dancing, watching movies, spending time with family and friends and, of course, writing. I’ve always enjoyed writing because it allows you to express yourself and use your creativity. It also allows you to inspire others which I think is beautiful. I can’t wait to see where this volunteering experience takes me!
