Volunteers Centre Skopje is looking for volunteers from Macedonia to participate in the ESC-project “Donate blood, donate life!” together with young people from EU countries and from Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Place: Craiova, Romania
About the project:
The project will take place in Craiova, Romania. Aims of the project are to develop useful skills for employability as well as a healthy lifestyle among 20 young people from 9 countries. To promote the importance of blood donation among over 6000 people and to promote the harmful effects of drug use among over 600 high school students.
Volunteers tasks:
Raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and promotion at local level of blood donation through posters, flyers etc. Register youth from the community in the club for support at local level and other activities decided between the association and the volunteers for the benefit of the community. Also to document your ESC experience and promote ESC for other youth.
Blood donation activities:
Promoting the blood donation in the community and the steps to be followed to donate blood. Arranging blood donation campaigns and social media campaigns about raising awareness of the need for blood. Creating videos to promote blood donation.
Volunteers profile:
- Youth aged 18 to 30 years old
- Fluent in English, both speaking and writing
- Motivated to take part in a 2-month ESC with the topic of blood donation
- Previous experience in volunteering may be considered a plus
- Priority will be given for youth with few opportunities (unemployed, not in school, few financial possibilities, cultural obstacles, refugees etc).
Technical Details:
The project is funded by ERASMUS+, so all travel costs (up to 275 euros) will be reimbursed according to ERASMUS+ regulations. Food- and pocket money and accommodation will be provided
