Call for Sub-Granting

Volunteers Centre Skopje announces a Call for Sub-Grants, within the framework of the project “AGREE – Action for Girls’ Rights to Equality and Empowerment”, supported by the European Union. The aim of the project is to support and encourage the participation and influence of civil society on the respect of women’s and girls’ rights, anti-discrimination, regional cooperation and social cohesion through capacity building, networking and advocacy for gender equality and girls’ empowerment in the Western Balkans region and Türkiye.

The aim of this call is to offer training and small subgrants to local and civil society organizations of public character to: a) build its capacity to partner with other organizations; b) develop its internal quality in governance, finance and project management, fundraising, advocacy, lobbying, research and analysis; and c) improve its outreach by fostering intercultural dialogue at the local level.

Applicants may be individual legally registered NGOs; Informal groups of civil society organizations (parents’ groups, informal civil society organizations) led by a legally registered NGO; Informal consortia of NGOs, educational and other relevant institutions, local authorities and other legally registered bodies, led by a legally registered NGO.

Only civil society organizations, formal and informal grassroots organizations that will complete the AGREE! project training package at regional, national or local level (themes of the training package): 1) gender equality and anti-discrimination; 2) social and financial education; 3) peer education; 4) capacity building of civil society organizations) are eligible to participate in the Call for Proposals.

Applicants must have been registered for at least two years at the time of application.

Financial support under this Call for Proposals will be awarded in one of the following categories:

  1. Up to 5,000 euros for one-off activities/events

Or

  1. Up to 10,000 euros for projects and initiatives with a duration of up to 6 months

The project is implemented by a partnership of civil society organisations, led by Pomoć deci (Serbia), in cooperation with Volunteers Centre Skopje (North Macedonia), Institute for Development of Civil Society – Innovate (Kosovo*[1]), Gruaja Tek Gruaja (Albania), Kalben Association (Türkiye), Women’s Safe House Podgorica (Montenegro), International Association Interactive Open Schools (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Ofensiva Tinerilor (Romania).

The project is supported by the European Union under IPA III / 2024 / 459-906.
