These young people traveled through 5 countries: Albania, Macedonia, Sicily, Greece, Turkey for the project “Get Empowered with Entrepreneurial spirit, Knowledge and Strategies” where more than 100 young people exchanged experiences, traditions, gained entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge and strategies, learned lessons, gained many friendships.
1 First Capacity Building Training, Korça, Albania (28.06-2.07.2021)
About 40 participants from Macedonia, Albania, Turkey, Greece and Italy are participating in “Young Geeks” project.
“At the project we learn about business ideas, how to start a new business, how to make money and how to promote our business. An interesting project that will help us understand how the business world works. About the city – we are here for the first time, but we like it very much, especially everywhere it smells of linden”, say Filip, Ivan and Jovana.
2 Second Capacity Building Training, Struga, Macedonia (12-16.07.2021)
The aim of the project was to create business ideas, encourage your own business and its promotion.
3 Study visit, Noto, Sicily (29.09-2.10.2021)
The young people had the opportunity to hear successful business ideas and creative business solutions from a visit to an organic farm and winery, where they tasted wine, from the conversation with a local businessman how he succeeded and developed the business, from the conversation with the mayor of Avola, how innovations are promoted in the region and from the Training – discussion for startup development. Participants Filip, Dimitrij, Zoran, Darian, Albin, Exon, Ivan and Pascal, as they say, are very satisfied with the project and amazed by the beauty of the sights as they walked through the cities of Noto, Avola and Syracuse, cities with a rich Roman history, culture, amphitheaters and Baroque architecture.
4 Study visit, Athens, Greece (9-12.11.2021)
Young people had the opportunity to hear successful business ideas and creative business solutions from a visit to Sheida Home, a social enterprise that makes handmade items from recycled paper. Visiting the restaurant for homeless people and the Second Hand bookstore was a very interesting experience. Books in Greek, English and French were available for sale and for only 1 euro all participants bought a book which made a small contribution to the homeless. The owner presented the business and their idea to help the homeless in Athens.
5 Final conference, Ankara, Turkey (3-5.02.2022)
They had the opportunity to hear successful business ideas and creative business solutions, but also were amazed by the beauty of Ankara, the accommodation in the Green Park Hotel 5 (star) in the very center of Ankara, by the visit to the many sights, especially the Ataturk Mausoleum.
„These journeys were unforgettable, we will remember them for a lifetime, we will retell about them to our grandchildren” – participants say.
