After 10 years Volunteers Centre Skopje is back with its project in the region of Prespa.
From 11th to 20th of June in Ljubojno, Macedonia VCS is organizing the Erasmus+ project, youth exchange “NO Hate Speech: Step 2” with over 30 participants coming from Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal, Denmark and Latvia.
The aim of the project is to empower young people to address online and offline hate speech and increase their competencies to use media and theatre-based tools to combat hate speech. Youth exchange is the second activity of the project No Hate Speech. The first one was held in Denmark in May and Volunteers Centre Skopje had 6 representatives.
Supporting and promoting rural development, the local community and especially the young people living there is extremely important to us.
Today, 10 years ago, we completed the first international project in Prespa – “Say Yes to rural development”, followed by three more. We hope that we have succeeded in introducing the young people from the rural areas to the importance of volunteering and giving them a chance to become part of our domestic and international projects.
Big thanks to the Municipality of Resen, as well as to the primary school “Dimitar Vlahov” in Ljubojno. We are very grateful that they recognized the importance of this international project for the Prespa region and are always available for our team.
It’s not the end of good news!
On the 19th of June, Ljubojno will become the centre of culture. On the main stage in the beautiful village, we will have fun with local bands, as well as “Sound Waves” from Bitola, and Kiril Gocevski will organize an unforgettable juggling show.
See you there!
