A volcano of energy and positivity: welcome Kacper from Poland

Cześć!

I am Kacper, a 22-years old boy from Poland. This is my 6th day in Macedonia. I came here for a 9-month project “Annual Growth” as a part of the European Solidarity Corps. I am very happy to be in this country. Everyone is very nice and helpful here.

I grew up in a small town in the eastern part of Poland, but I live in Lublin. In this city I finished my BA studies in Journalism and Social Communication at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Currently, I am studying for a Master’s degree in two fields of study: Media Production and International and European Union Law. I dreamed of becoming an actor since I was a child. However, due to my curiosity and asking a lot of questions, I realized that I wanted to become a journalist. During my studies, I started volunteering at Fundacja Sempre a Frente, and because of them I am in the Balkans. I also started to be active both at the university and socially. I believe that studies give not only knowledge but, above all, teach independence, give us self-confidence and broaden our mental horizons thanks to the people we meet.

For nearly 3 years I worked in the news editorial of the local, academic radio. There, together with a friend, we created a travel program. Travelling is my passion. My dream is to see all the countries in the world. I love meeting new cultures, places, but most of all people who are so diverse. Being with them teaches us acceptance and tolerance. I believe that the most intolerant are locked in their comfort zone and do not travel. I like to laugh a lot, often of myself as well. I love going to second hands and buy clothes, especially colorful shirts. I hope that the time spent in Macedonia will give me new skills, friends and unforgettable memories.
