“In the summertime, when the weather is hot, you can reach right up and touch the sky” – Mungo Jerry
Ahh summertime at last! Nice to see y’all again for this June edition. I can already see you all looking forward to take a dip in the pool or the sea, enjoying an ice cream on the terrace while leafing through the pages of this new issue of VOICES. Be careful with sunburns and drink a lot of water because global warming will not be kind to us these next days… Bad joke sorry, relaxing the atmosphere (haha) is not my specialty.
Besides being the first month of summer, let’s not forget that June is also Pride Month! It has been 3 years now since Skopje organized its first pride. Lesbians, gays, bi, trans, ace and many other identities will honour this month through many social and cultural events like cinema festivals, art exhibitions and concert celebrating diversity in all over Europe! All of us should fight for equal society. And to think how we are living, because nothing it’s not permanent. With that in mind, why do we always feel the urge to attach ourselves to others, to our possessions, to our quiet and safe home even though we know that it will end one day? What do we have to do to get rid of attachment? The solution is non-attachment, but it can be mistaken for detachment. You can read more about this in our June’s edition. To be honest, we have a lot of interesting articles on different topics.
Enjoy in VOICES and live the summer!
