Hii y’all,

If I were to start this introduction in the usual manner, I would say that my name is Patrícia, that I am a social sciences student, and that I come from Slovakia… which is true, but who am I really?

To be completely honest with you, I always find it so difficult to define myself. Not because there is nothing interesting about me to be mentioned, but mostly because I am truly fond of so many different things that it’s hard to put myself just in one box.

What I mean by that is that I like everything from travelling, meeting new people, and learning new languages, through playing sports, spending time in nature and taking my daily dose of 10k steps, to listening to podcasts, reading, creative writing, and dancing. Moreover, music is something that I can’t go a day without, since as a dancer, I developed a really strong connection to following the rhythm.

The main reason why I came to Skopje is to grow as a person while striving to enrich the life of someone else through my volunteering work. Whether it’s contributing to the Voices magazine, organising fun events for the youth, or aiming to brighten the day of children, I’m here for it!

To wrap up, I really want to end this passage by saying that I truly believe that even the smallest change or donation, or simply complimenting strangers or sharing a smile with someone, can have a huge and lasting impact! Therefore, I would like to encourage everyone reading this short introduction of mine to be more aware of other people and mindful of the environment, as it will not only help the world but also benefit you internally. 🙂
