Hey there! I am Lucia, but you can also call me Lucy or Lucka. I come from Nitra, a city in Slovakia. I am 24 yo and I studied Applied Ethics in Human Resources.
But who am I really? If you want to get to know me, talk to me about travelling, specialty coffee, plants, baking or youth work – I could talk about those all day!
I’ve been volunteering with children in need and in orphanages for 8 years, and thanks to them I am really into Roma culture! Here are some fun facts: I’m obsessed with colourful socks, art, wine, silly jokes and pasta! An introvert who loves meeting new people, new cultures and learning new stories.
During my studies I took a gap year to experience life in Italy but I kept searching for more adventures after graduating. And that led me here – to Macedonia! I have visited Macedonia once, and I fell in love with the kindness of people I met. So when I came across an opportunity to volunteer in Skopje, I knew it was the one. And my first days here confirmed that it really was the one for me.
Lastly, if you are reading this right now and you are feeling insecure or scared about taking an opportunity in your life, this is your sign to do it.
