Hello! My name is Arthur, I graduated in Philosophy, and have worked as a French teacher for more than one year now. I come from a small city next to Lyon, France, which I really like, but the call for adventure was bigger than that love for my hometown, so here I am.

As a teacher, I really liked seeing my students being more and more confident talking in French, but I truly missed writing, which was a huge part of my life when I was a student. That’s why I chose VCS, to be able to both teach and write in Voices.

I have already come to Macedonia several times now, and it’s always a pleasure to experience Balkan culture and appreciate how different it can be from the French one. I like the food, the music, and the brutalist architecture.

In my free time, I like to learn new things, languages, historical and scientific facts, but also new strategies in video games. I used to be one of Europe’s top players in a card game called Hearthstone; now I prefer less competitive activities.

My nerd life didn’t help me to be particularly outgoing, but it’s something I work on, and clearly working as a team with the other volunteers will be positive in that aspect.
