Last year Living Library organized by Volunteers Centre Skopje attracted more than 150 people that came to meet face to face various ‘books’ (vegan, young entrepreneur, Roma person, Muslim, heart emigrant, volunteer, gay, animal right activist, mum with child with autism) and get to know their life stories. This year Living Library will take place on 27 November from 15:00 to 19:00 in City Library ‘Braka Miladinovci’ and currently we are looking for volunteers who would like to help with its organization. As volunteer you will be involved in preparation of promotional materials, promotion of the event and especially you will be involved on 27 November in its organization. What you will get?
By being a volunteer for Living Library you will have an opportunity to experience organizing an event fighting stereotypes and discrimination, meet with interesting ‘books’ as well as to work together with EVS volunteers coming from Slovakia or France. Moreover, all volunteers will also receive confirmation of their involvement – certificate. What I need to be a volunteer for Living Library?
Bit of time (the tasks will be adjusted to your schedule), willingness to take part in an event fighting discrimination and stereotypes, communicative level of English.
