Hello everyone!
My name is Laura, and I’m from Slovakia. Since I’m a very curious person, I decided to come here to beautiful Macedonia. I’m always looking for adventures and new challenges, so a new language, the culture of the real Balkans, welcoming people, fascinating history, and majestic mountains were definitely some of the reasons why I wanted to visit this amazing country.
I absolutely love food—and yes, I’m vegetarian! I’m particularly obsessed with cakes. Slovak grandmas simply make the best ones, and I will always defend that statement.
Ecology and nature preservation are also very important to me. I wish they were equally important to everyone, especially to the people making decisions and laws that affect our future.
I absolutely love sports because they give me that adrenaline rush. Adrenaline is the hormone of excitement, and for me, that feeling means being truly alive.
Another thing I love is theatre. Nowadays, though, not necessarily being on the stage—but rather experiencing life off the stage, observing people, stories, and all the little things that make life interesting.
And finally, I wish everyone would take their life into their own hands and have the courage to do the things they truly want to do. Tell that one person what you’ve been keeping inside. Take the opportunities that scare you. Try something new. Because, as far as we know, we get only one chance at this life—and I think we should live it fully.
