Description of the project: Youth Council of Gazi Baba: youth information center, going to schools and universities, informing about different formal and nonformal education possibilities, consulting young people who come to the office about what they can do with their free time, helping them to apply for youth exchanges, work camps, volunteer work projects etc. Preparing a newsletter about actual events…etc…etc EVS impressions: Yes, poleka poleka…keeping promises is not the most typical quality of the people here. Otherwise everybody is very nice, the country is nice, food and music can get a bit boring but in general is also nice. My actual project is mainly working with children at the SOS Children Village: creative workshops, drawing, English language for kids and mothers, healthy lifestyle workshops. In addition to that I try to go 2 days a week to YES Business Incubator in Avtokomanda. I helped them, for example, with preparing an application form for Small Grants Fund and sketching an agreement, doing some research on similar grant funds in other countries, as well as on business incubators owning a share in their tenant companies. For the rest, I am just exploring, learning and hanging around there. EVS volunteer lifestyle in Macedonia is like a long relaxing summer university: we keep on learning but in a way we do not really notice. And we have a great time!
