Volunteers Centre Skopje is a non governmental organization founded in 2006 by former EVS volunteers. Our main activities include promoting volunteering, informal education, active citizenship, career orientation and developing and building youth capacities, implementing the Republic of Macedonia volunteering law. The main goal of the Volunteers Centre Skopje is to connect young people on various grounds regardless of their national, racial, religious, political and economic status. Our organization is accredited with sending and receiving EVS volunteers, reference number EVS: 2014-1-MK01-KA110-000293 (EVS or European Volunteering Service  is a part of the Erasmus+ program sponsored by the European Commission).

In the past 12 years, the Volunteers Center Skopje has been very active in promoting the volunteer spirit among the young people in the Republic of Macedonia. So far, we have sent over 350 young people to do EVS in EU countries and have hosted more than 300 EVS volunteers from different EU countries for short or longer stay. The Volunteers Center Skopje has also been granted more than 60 projects in the past 12 years, where more than 5000 persons took part, such as youth exchanges, training seminars and study visits by the European Commission through the Youth, Youth in Action and Erasmus + programs in Macedonia and in different partner projects around Europe, which were indirectly or directly connected with the promotion of volunteering and non-formal education.

VCS celebrates the International Volunteering Day each year on December 5th.


Volunteer Center Skopje as an active, recognized and influential actor and partner in the society that offers equal opportunities and approaches for improving the living standard of young people. Volunteers Center Skopje as an active information and possibilities provider for volunteering and informal education on local and international level, bridging the European funds and programs to the youth and adults.
